Can anyone advise me how to place a working shortcut of Firefox/ or Chromeonto the desktop of this os, as dragging the icon from "Internet" doesn't workor open..
Which version of Ubuntu? Are you using GNOME or Unity?Configuring a desktop environment is different with the DE and with 11.10Ubuntu switched to a Unity default installation.
