CalculiX on Intrepid 64-bit

I'm having trouble getting ccx working, and may have to build it from source. A
subscriber to the CalculiX group referred me to this group, but I can't seem to
locate a relevant thread.

CalculiX seems to require g77 to build--at least, ccx does--and it seems to be
no longer available in Intrepid, though Hardy has it. (I just launched a Hardy
VM and verified that this is the case.) Anyhow, anyone who has experience
building software that requires a Fortran compiler is encouraged to respond.
