usb adapters

Recently installed ubunto 6.10 on my computer to move to a linux
based operating system. This computer uses a Netgear wg111v3 Usb
adapter to connect to my wireless router. Tried ndiswrapper with no
luck installing the driver for it. I would like to try another usb
adapter, and not use the ndiswrapper utility if possible. My question
is what Usb adapter would be easy to install and what would you
recommend. I used the 1.8 version of ndiswrapper and get an invalid
driver message.

Thanks for the information. I tried a wireless card with no luck. The
computer would freeze up at the grub and go no further. Bought a
linksys wired ethernet pci card at Walmart. The model number is
NC100U-WM. It worked and am now connected to the internet. This card
runs much faster than a usb adapter and now looking foreward to
updating this operating system. Again, thank for pointing me in the
right direction.
