i have problems with the sound configuration of skype.if it can help i have sony vaio vgn-sr21m.how should i configurate the sound preferences?
Remove Pulseaudio in Synaptic. It does not play well with Skype which has itsown hardware drivers and there seems to be a conflict for many people. RemovingPulseaudio is a common fix and usually works. Use Alsa which is better anyway.
