CUPS Question

Date: Jan 07    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 399

I have something a bit odd where CUPS is concerned- after I did a new
install of Feisty, I now am unable to print anything- I was using my
serial cable to my HP930c DeskJet, and after this quit, I attempted to
get it to talk via usb- no go. System shows my printer- I even
installed a new instance, just to be sure, and nada. Any ideas on how
to get it back in communication would be helpful.

Check you Synaptic and see if the following are installed.
hpijs, hplip, and hplip-data and give some extra cups tools for the hp.
When you get to step 2 see if it says (hpijs) before going to step three. Make
sure your printer power stays on and plug into your box when configuring it.
