I own a HP M 1005 MFP Laserjet printer/scanner, which I run with my ubuntupc.The printer is working fine, but the Xsane Image scanner software isnt ableto detect the scanner, n says No Decives Found.How do i make the scanner work?

I tried a HPC model that I borrowed for a project. I installed the HPsoftware from Synaptic. I used GIMP to pull in the images I scanned.
I don't know about your specific scanner, but I had problems getting a scannerand a printer to work in 7.04. I never did get them to work. When I upgraded togutsy 7.10, everything worked perfectly. You may want to upgrade and see if ithelps.
