Date: Jan 03    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 1349

I own a HP M 1005 MFP Laserjet printer/scanner, which I run with my ubuntu
pc.

The printer is working fine, but the Xsane Image scanner software isnt able
to detect the scanner, n says No Decives Found.

How do i make the scanner work?

I tried a HPC model that I borrowed for a project. I installed the HP
software from Synaptic. I used GIMP to pull in the images I scanned.

I don't know about your specific scanner, but I had problems getting a scanner
and a printer to work in 7.04. I never did get them to work. When I upgraded to
gutsy 7.10, everything worked perfectly. You may want to upgrade and see if it
helps.
