Does flash work in FF? Chrome now comes with flash built in so it is likely
a Chrome problem, probably due to an upgrade.

No. Same problem.
Same in Opera too.

Can you re-install Flash maybe? I am wondering if maybe the Flash binary
file is corrupted...

I did choose remove completely and then reinstalled but the same problem.

Other than maybe cleaning out a temp folder somewhere, I'm lost.

Using Kubuntu 10.10, 64-bit
Location: Canada
I would clean the cache after completely removing. That will download a new
copy rather than installing a bad one, if that is the case. Reinstall will
just reuse the old one unless you clean first.

sudo apt-get clean

You know what I think Im going to do.....

I have had such difficulty with my mouse and keyboard not working, and
not being able to move files between computers and this and one or two
other things that I think Im going to backup my stuff (again) and then
reinstall freshly. If ever there were a thing called Ghost in the
Machine - for me, this is it.

Once you have it working perfectly, you can use Clonezilla to back it
up and avoid the hassle of re-installing in the future. That will give
you a baseline to work from that is farther ahead than you are now.

I guess backing up will have to wait as I have a project to start today.

I did notice that the flash in Chrome is crashing regardless of the other.

www.liveexercise.com/.../

I just reinstalled Flash and used ff and its still crashing, though not
as bad.

The above page is where I am right now.

If you start the workout, you can see the workout but, when you go full
screen - which I do - it crashes.

Well, its doing it on EVERY site now that has flash.
It was just this one site, when I hit the full screen option but now its any
site I watch any flash.

So after uninstalling flash and reinstalling ati graphics drivers,
everything was working. This mornings updates has caused problems again.
Besides desktop effects missing now flash is back to crashing constantly
again after working fine for a few days.
