Software installed, but linux can not find it

xorg in 10.04 is a newer version than 9.04 - that's it. I cringe to hear
that you had to go to 9.04 to get it to run. I hope you have an nvidia
card. Intel or ATI graphics performance on 9.04 was disastrous.
