Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 05

I've tried some things on this page,
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HpAllInOne Seems like I have five errors that
appear. After executing 'sudo apt-get install python-qt4' , then 'sudo
hp-setup', then 'sudo hp-check -r', both commands yield 5 errors;

error: 5 errors and/or warnings.

Summary of needed commands to run to satisfy missing dependencies:
sudo aptitude install --assume-yes cupsddk cupsddk-drivers
sudo aptitude install --assume-yes policykit policykit-gnome
sudo aptitude install --assume-yes python-qt4-dbus
sudo aptitude install --assume-yes python-reportlab

This may seem like a stupid question, but do I these four installs? Also if you
look at the bottom of the page I posted above, if you look at the end of the
page, after "Setting up printers to use hplip." The person is referring to the
same printer I have. I run the command he states,
<i>
"Step 1: run synaptic (system > admin > synaptic). Put in your password, and
search for 'hplip'.

Install all three packages, then move to step two. " </i>

But there are 11 packages to choose from, not 3. This is also what I'm trying
to do too. Install some of the functionality I had under XP.
