DigiKam is an interesting photo file management software! I am slowly
working my way through the manual.

I must be using flawed logic in trying to import/download photos from my
Canon PowerShot G10.

My computer recognized the camera and I can download photos to my
desktop.

DigiKam recognizes the camera two ways when I plug it in and turn it on,
but it refuses to import the images.

If I go to the DigiKam tool bar and click on Import, the camera is
recognized two ways....

1."cameras auto detected Canon Digital Camera"
2. "cameras add USB PTP class camera.

Attempting to connect using either of these gives me an error window.
"Failed to connect to the camera. Please make sure it is connected
properly and turned on. Would you like to try again?"

Any ideas?
