Bottom tool bar only shows thin bars

Date: Dec 06    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 599

I built a computer for my parents about 6mo ago and put Ubuntu on it. They have
found it to be eaiser to use than MS. But when ever I tell them to click on a
file they have shrunk - they say they cant find it. So today Im here and sure
enough - when you shrink a file it shrinks to the far left hand side as a very
thin slit maybe 10 pixels wide. Its to the left of the Hide/Show all button.

Any idea how to fix this?

Right click on the panel. Choose add to panel, then choose Window
Selector
Afterwards get rid of Window List which is what gives you that
thin slit.
