How or what is Zorin OS?

How or what is Zorin OS? I have seen a couple of references to it,
downloaded the image
and copied it to a DVD. I loaded it on my dual boot desktop which loaded
fine but didn't
work so good, is it a Ubuntu product but needs more system resorces? It
references using
the same repositories I think, I never got a good screen to try it out
other than the live CD.
Then it took me all day to restore the dual boot XP, Ubuntu system.
So whats the story on Zorin OS?

I have tried Pinguy and Zorin. I am not very impressed. They seem to be quite
good.

First place to look is distrowatch.com. There are a huge number of
Linux distributions cited here. Here is what it says about Zorin
distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=zorin It is designed to
help windows users get comfortable with Linux easily. Whether it
succeeds only you can judge!

From there you can go to the Zorin website for more details.

I have never used it. I don't like Windows so a distro based on it would not
appeal. I tried Lindows and that scared me enough.
