Virtualbox OS - how do you get the CD burning to work on it?

I was able to get it to read the installation disk to install Virtual Windows XP
and RecordNow CD Burner software -- but I cannot get it to accept blank CDs to
burn video clips to. Is there a way to get the Virtual Windows XP to accept
blank CDs to burn video clips to from my Virtual RecordNow CD Burner? It seems
to pick up the blank CD in the Ubuntu linux instead of the Virtual Windows XP
where I want it to be.

Your CD drive can be switched manually from host to guest and vice versa
using the Virtualbox system tray on the bottom right of the status bar.
Right click on the drive icon to choose that drive. You can also enable
Passthrough in the settings for the Settings for drives for the VM (before
you boot Windows). If you do this then you can use the drive in both host
and guest. If you are in Windows when you are using the CD drive, Windows
takes over. If you are in Linux then Linux takes over. To release the CD for
use in the other OS you need to eject it from the OS that has control so
that the other OS can use it.

I was able to use
the Sonic Record in the Virtual XP and then play the video clip within the Linux
OS.

No problem. That's what we're here for. We love to hear stories of success,
so keep asking questions and posting. Before long you will be helping others
with things that you have learned and that's how it goes... Remember that at
one time we were all where you are now and that there is no such thing as a
dumb question.
