Complete Stack (OS, DB, APP, ...)

Microsoft has windows + MS-SQL + .Net + IIS
this is a complete development stack

redhat + jboss and Oracle + Novell can offer the same complete stack
what do you think will this benefit Java Enterprise environment or they will make a branch in Java Enterprise?
