usb card reader problem

Date: Dec 19    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 444

I have damaged communication between my usb card reader and my Toshiba
Satellite Computer running UBuntu 8.04.

Finding that out only took a few more weeks of talking to computer
programming geeks at bars and coffee shops in Portland, Oregon.

"Cannot mount volume The volume 'whatever' uses the FAT32 file system
which is not supported by your system.

I am guessing that need to remove what I broke (perhaps a device driver)
and replace it with something that works. Or, I may need to get a new
usb card reader and see if it will work.

I am guessing that I will need the correct command line information to
repair the communication.

If I get a solution, I am guessing that I will then need to make a note
that the Ubuntu instructions for unmounting my specific compact flash
drive may not work on my specific computer, running my specific version
of Ubuntu.
