Ubuntu uninstall question

  Date: Jan 07    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 326

Is there an easy way to uninstall Ubuntu? I had a previous install of
Suse at one time. I just couldn't uninstall it and I had to give up
and reformat the HD then reinstall Windoze. I don't want to go through
that again! If I remember right, I think it was something to do with
the GRUB on boot up that was giving me the issue.

I think you have to boot with the Windoze disk, go to the console option
(I don't remember how right now, but it's pretty obvious) and type
FIXMBR (XP/2000) or FDISK /MBR (9x/ME). Nothing you can't find easyly on
Google.

There is another solution just go in Windows.

Click on Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc
(i.e. disk management)
just right click on the drive in which ubuntu is
installed and select option "delete logical drive" and
for MBR (Master Boot Record) you can follow the
process given by Marcelino Luna.
