I've been trying to read up about motherboards in order to get a newmachine as my old P3 'test' machine seems to have a graphics problem.I tried a new graphics card but still flickered. Mother board dies not really matter at all. Graphics is Nvida because they haveopen their driver up to the linux people.
What should one be careful of with onboard graphics cards. My othermachine is a compaq and seems to run fine with an intel chip.VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82815 Chipset GraphicsController (CGC) (rev 04)
Some people had a hard time getting the ATI onboard graphics to work.
