Ubuntu 8.04 LTS step-by-step installation

Earlier I posted a Kubuntu 8.04 installation step-by-step. Here is an Ubuntu

This is not to say that you should install it. Try out the Live CD first to make
sure it works for you. There is nothing worse than finding problems after the
fact.
