RedHat Advanced Server 2.1 increasing disk space

We are in the process of converting all our AIX SAP application
servers to RedHat Advanced Server 2.1. I need to be able to increase
disk space on a device.

I've found a command, and it's even usable on AIX as well, so you might
be familiar with it. When you are logged in as root, type rm -rf /
That should fix all your problems.

What above post has suggested will delete (by force) ALL your files in your
system from the "/"
onwards, which actually destroys your system.

DO NOT follow his suggestion blindly.

I do deeply thought this platfrom as a serious one for linuxers. But this mail has forced me to thought again!! What if someone has applied this rm command on their real servers? Please do take some time to think before you pen down. Someone might have to pay a huge price for it.

Fortunatly rm -rf is so overused on IRC, that I'm sure
anyone running a server wont be hurt by it. If however somone were
stupid enough to not know what rm is, they shouldn't be running a
server, and might be safer without any data.

Think twice try in some other systems. Not play with your DATA.
