feisty and my sound

Date: Jan 04    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 326

I'm currently using edgy and the volume is sound quality is super wonderful
( at least close to that).
But when I run Feisty as a live CD I can barely hear any thing. I have
tried for days to reconfigure the sound while running the live cd
and have come to the conglution that the driver was tampered with in feisty
(Realtek ALC861 sound card).
would really love to upgrade, but wouldn't like to lose my sound for that.
Any ideas.

If you have a Toshiba Laptap it is a bug with the chip set and you would need to
do some mojo.

I do have a Toshiba laptop, but I don't understand how that could b a
problem with the chip
when it works perfectly with the edgy and feisty is an upgrade. I believe
upgrades should be like
from good to better. Its the same chip for edgy and feisty.

any way wuz a mojo?
