Cant really find any simple info. to solve my scanner issue.I have tried simple scan and Xsane and neither recognize my scanner.

Seems this is one of the Epson models that is difficult under Linux,many of them are plug-and-go but not this one :-( The link below mayhelp as it seems to work for some but not others...http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=594951
Go to http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/scan/DL1.do They have yourscanner listed. I used their driver for my Epson 4490. It works flawlessly.
