Where are my custom toolbar icons stored?

Asked By: Don    Date: Mar 02    Category: MS Office    Views: 1722

I have been creating my own icons for macros that I place in my
customized toolbars. Where are these icons stored? I ask because I
would like to programmatically access these images so that I can reuse
them when I put these same macros in a new toolbar.

Look in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application
Data\Microsoft\Excel\Excel11.xlb

It is a good idea to back this file up regularly, together with
Personal.xls in the XLSTART folder.

I found this file (it is called Excel10.xlb for me), but when I open
the file, it appears for an instant and then goes away. Any
suggestions on how to keep it visible?

Have no idea, but have a look in Google for ".xlb open".
