network icon

Well this happened once before, but , don't remember how I corrected it,
also searched and didn't find an answer.
For some reason, in order to jump on the net, you click on the network
icon at top right of window, mine disappeared and can find no way to
restore it. When the connection drops, I have to reboot as I have the
connection set to automatically start. Any body know what happened or
more importantly, how to restore it?? btw., Ubuntu 10.10

You coulod try this :
- right click in an empty part of the highest part of screen where you had your
network applet ;
- left click on "add" button and you should find your network applet in the
list.

Thanks, I finally found it, I think, in the add a button. I'll play
around with it and see.
