I have 2 ubuntu 12.10 desktps and one macbook pro laptop I would like to
set up shares for where you do not need passwords to login. I would
also like to share a usb printer connected to one of the desktops. I
have been trying to set this up using gadmin-samba (a gui program) with
no luck.

I think I should start over by completely uninstalling. can anyone
direct me to an entry level tutorial?

I can now see the shares (yay!) but samba is asking for a password, and
won't accept the password I have used for the user. (?)
