process of installing 8.04

I am now taking an Dell {P4/2Ghz, 1GB
RAM} and installing 8.04 on a second, 500GB Hard drive. Win XP Home Ed will
stay on the other physical Hard drive which is only 160 GB

I am sure over the next week or so I will be asking alot of questions as
this is my first time venturing outside of Windows-hell.
