I can't get my Ubuntu box to ping my Debian gateway/firewall. the
debian pings the Ubuntu box. They are the only 2 computers on the
network. They are connected with a switch I set the Ubuntu box to a
static address 192.168.5.10. the gateway is 192.168.5.1 The Debian box
is 192.168.5.1, broadcast is 192.168.5.255, netmask is 255.255.255.0,

Is the problem in this area or any suggestion will help.
