Network by Bluetooth

My home PC running 8.04 connects to the internet via a serial port modem. I want
to be able to connect my laptop to it for file sharing and I also want to get
the laptop to be able to connect to the internet through the PC. The Laptop is
running PC/OS 09 which I think is based on Ubuntu 8.04 also.

The kicker is that I want to do this with what I have on hand which is a pair of
Bluetooth dongles. Is this do-able and where do I start?

If both have network ports the easiest thing would be to buy a short peer to
peer (crossover) twisted pair cable for less than $10.

I'd also like to see this question answered for bluetooth. Further, I like a
link to a site surveying "DC-to-light" Linux communication methods with where to
get technical information and software for each.
