Network Manager Applet

Date: Dec 02    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 475

I used Ubuntu 9.10 and currently have 10.4, in 9.10 the network would happily
auto connect to a wireless router, however in 10.4 it doesn't. It also has
difficulty in connection when I manually connect. I discovered wicd and was told
it was more reliable, but it isn't in my case. Are there any other networking
programs others here use they would reccomend?

There is no 10.4. It is 10.04 because it came out in April, the fourth
month. Using your system, 10.10 which comes out next October would have a
LOWER number than 10.4 which does not make sense.

If you want help re: wireless then you should include some info about what
wireless card or chip you have installed and the make and model of your
computer. That way we aren't whistling in the wind.
