Jira license key

Asked By: Lamberta    Date: May 07    Category: Java    Views: 4216

Is there any way that I can get free Jira license key?
I know that JIRA is free for use by official non-profit organizations
and charities but proof of non-profit status is required so don’t have
evidence for that.

following methods works:
1)
register a .org or .edu domain and then ask for a jira license
2)
create an open source project and start hosting it on a public site and ask for a jira license
3)
contact Tamin company, Mr Kaboli (you can contact them through me)
they have loclalized jira for farsi language and selling it,
may be you can negotiate and buy it with a reasonable price.

Is this Persian Jira localized in a collaboration with Atlassian team?

sourceforge.net/.../

Here is a related JIRA issue, about RTL language support:
http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-14119

As far as I can see, the issue's status  is neither "closed", nor its resolution is "fixed". Anyways, it should be doable in language pack form, with some UI tweaks.

But the important point is that, I don't think it's legal to resell any of Atlassian products here. Maybe they're just charging for persian language support? Even in that case, I'm not sure it's legal. As far as I know, they don't have any representative, reseller or official  support in Iran. Neither they tend to have, because of the sanctions. Maybe I'm missing a point here.
Arash, would you please let us know how they're doing so, and whether they are part of Atlassian company or have any contract with them to resell it here?

I don't know much about their work, but I don't think they have any connection with Atlasian company or have contributed back the RTL and persian support.
this is all I knew:
they are using it internally, they have sold it to some external customers.

After all, you can buy it from Bazar Reza for almost free.

And with the true spirit of professional software developers the farsi support is not contributed back to the community ;-) Why is it that people hesitate to contribue farsification of products? Alfresco/Liferay/Jira/... every one of them I'm sure has been farsified numerous times by various Iranian companies!
