Special Character -assign a key stroke command

I guess this is more an OpenOffice rather than an Ubuntu question.

How do I assign a key stroke command to a special character in
OpenOffice? I use the paragraph sign (the two s that over lap) a lot. I
can go to the insert character menu, but that is a pain to do. In Word I
had set up a key command of <ctrl><alt> s and would like to do the same
in OpenOffice.
Any suggestions?
