I tried to install G'MIC - GREYC's Magic Image Converter for Gimp.
I failed.
I installed it by the software-Center and I copied the plugin into the
/home/charlyms/.gimp-2.6/plug-ins folder and in the usr/lib/gimp/2.6/plug-ins
foder.
But Gimp don´t recognize it under Layer´s ("Filter") in the drop down menue,
it´s still grey.
By the way: Installing the command-lind tool by the software center was
successfully.

Greyed out means that it is installed but you cannot use the filter at the
time. Try loading a graphic and it should no longer be grey.

Also worth noting that not all filters work on all image types and
sometimes the colour depth has to match too - so a 256 colour JPG
won't whereas a 16 million colour JPG does.
