Lots of HAM stuff for Linux. I am using Xlog and like it very much.

how do I get to it? I clicked on Add/Remove and put several ham radio
terms in the search engine and only came up with two programs. I'm a real
novice at this.

To get Xlog click on Applications and down at the bottom of the list
click on Add/Remove. The list you get should be alphabetical. Scan down
to Xlog (has an orange triangle) and click to install. Just above it is
xdx, a DX cluster program that integrates with Xlog and others.

Do a Google search on FLDigi. They have a very active reflector too.
It is a really great Linux based digital modes program with logging
ability. Great support too. As others have mentioned, there are a lot
of ham radio programs to play with for Linux.

I couldn't get FLDigi to work and gMFSK works for what little psk that I
do. Mostly QRP CW here.

Go to system, administration, synaptic package manager, and look at the
Amatuer Radio (Universe) section.

OK I did that, found 2 logbooks and some antenna programs. Now where do I
find them now that I have downloaded them?

"hamshack hack"
