I am just starting in Ubuntu and am looking for Linux ham radioprograms, most especially logs, but not limited to that area.
Lots of HAM stuff for Linux. I am using Xlog and like it very much.
how do I get to it? I clicked on Add/Remove and put several ham radioterms in the search engine and only came up with two programs. I'm a realnovice at this.
To get Xlog click on Applications and down at the bottom of the listclick on Add/Remove. The list you get should be alphabetical. Scan downto Xlog (has an orange triangle) and click to install. Just above it isxdx, a DX cluster program that integrates with Xlog and others.
Do a Google search on FLDigi. They have a very active reflector too.It is a really great Linux based digital modes program with loggingability. Great support too. As others have mentioned, there are a lotof ham radio programs to play with for Linux.
I couldn't get FLDigi to work and gMFSK works for what little psk that Ido. Mostly QRP CW here.
Go to system, administration, synaptic package manager, and look at theAmatuer Radio (Universe) section.
OK I did that, found 2 logbooks and some antenna programs. Now where do Ifind them now that I have downloaded them?
Yea, check out a bunch of linux stuff, all in one place. It is called"hamshack hack"
