64 bit Ubuntu

I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) 64-bit on an older Compaq AMD64
laptop and new System76 Pangolin Performance Intel Duo Core laptop with
absolutely no problem with stability relative to either Flash or Java.
I say go for the 64-bit version of Ubuntu. My opinion is that you will
not be disappointed.
