Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Nov 28

I downloaded a "puppy" linux and installed it in an USB key. Puppy is a very
small Linux using the 9.04 Ubuntu files. I booted my PC from that USB key (you
must have enabled in the BIOS the booting priority order such as USB key is
booted before the hard disk). Inside Puppy I start gparted application,
unmounted the hard disk partitions which must be modified, selected one after
the other, resized... and all was done after many hours.
Last word : don't forget to backup your data before resizing your partitions.
Last last word : if you have not done it before, make a special partition for
your /home directory, you will appreciate later when you are upgrading your
Linux or want to resize partitions or do any other major task on your system.
