WINTV 950 (980) HVR Issues

I bought a WinTV HVR 950 (says 980 in modprobe) USB stick and am very
frustrated- after all the wiki Luna6 et al tutorials, I find the
problem seems to be with TVTIME and XAWTV.

Any ideas as to where to get more help with TVTime and Xaw issues?
