Hauppauge-HVR-900 with Ubuntu 8.10/Firmware xc3028-v27.fw

I need some explanations
I tried to make my own firmware for my Hauppauge-HVR-900.
Therefore I followed the advices on
blog.ikasweb.de/.../,
but replace the hcw85bda.sys from the download link with "my"
hcw85bda.sys from my installation-cd (because it works on windows).
I get the following:
klaus@klaus-laptop:~$ ./extract_xc3028.pl
Hash of extracted file does not match (found
f2f6730eabf0a06561b34858982695cb, expected
0e44dbf63bb0169d57446aec21881ff2!
Is there any way to create a firmware by this way? Or does it mean
that is really impossible because the hashes are different?
