uses Facebook on multiple computers and devices had problems

Has anybody who uses Facebook on multiple computers and devices had problems?

I run FB on my main computer, netbook, my wife's computer, a
smartphone and now a tablet. Since I got my tablet they took exception
for whatever reason. It started with getting asked for device name and
then follow-up emails saying that it was now on device xyz. If not
then click on this link. It is anti-phishing and security check. I can
live with it. Then after a few of these they asked me to change my
password. I did. This caused more problems because cookies on various
devices triggered more emails and forced me to change my password a
second and then third time. You cannot go back to a previous password
and it is impossible to remember what is behind all of the ***** and
not trigger their security. I am now locked out. They wanted me to
phone and for them to text me a code. I entered my cell number and
they never texted. I tried a land line and they still never call. So
basically, I am ticked off to the point that if I ever get on again I
am deleting my content and quitting.

Has anybody had similar problems?

Consider it a blessing that facebook doesn't want your business any more!
It was much harder for me to escape a couple of years ago... But I'm glad
to be free of that time wasting data miner.

You might want to click on the down arrow on the home tab on the top
left. Then click on Account settings. Then on the next screen look on
the upper left and click on security. You will see two lines, one is
Login Notifications and the other is Login Approval. If these are on
then you will be challenged each time you log in from another computer.

I hope this is the problem, otherwise I have you barking up the wrong tree.

I can't get back in. It keeps on wanting me to phone but never accepts my
number. It either never sends a message or tells me (even hours later) that
I am asking for a a phone check too frequently which could not be the case
because they have never once actually texted me.

I would change the security settings if they let me in. My password has
been changed at their request four times, but they have never followed
through and phoned me to check that it is me. I find that curious since my
account has been very active for a few years and these problems only began
after Christmas when I got yet another device (tablet).

I can't even notify people on my FB page that I am leaving. My family is
still on FB and I joined FB to keep in touch with them. Otherwise I have
never liked it. I am switching to Google+, but only two sons are on that.
My daughter is heavily into FB and when she went to South America last fall
it was actually useful for once, to be able to chat and see her adventures
online.

I deal with this a lot specifically with realtors.
They log in from their ipad, their iphone or other
phone, a laptop and desktop. One trick Ive had
about 50/50 success is, log out of whatever other
system you are in before leaving. Log out of your
phone before logging in with your ipad, etc. This
has drastically cut down on the number of problems
Ive had.

have you try the Help Center and message them to find
out what is going on?
