Is it possible to write macro(s) for the following:1. To delete Rows
having been assigned particular colour from selected column and / or to remove
the particular colour from the selected column?2. When we filter data to display
the number of occurrences of particular entry. It will be best if these options
are incorporated by microsoft it self instead of creating macros for them by the
users.

Yes you can write  VBA code to check on the colours in cells and then do
whatever you like with them.

When you filter  data, you can use the count facility in the status bar to
tell you how many items there are.
