Update Manager

Date: Dec 28    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 435

Hey I decided to use update manager to upgrade to feisty fawn. However
I get this error:

W: GPG error:
http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com edgy Release: The following signatures
couldn't be verified because the public key is not available:
NO_PUBKEY 2EBC26B60C5A2783

Also update manager does not have the upgrade button. It was there
earlier but I did the other updates for 6.10 and now It wont let me
update through update manager or even thru terminal. In terminal it
just keeps trying to upgrade to 6.10 which is already fully installed.
Any ideas and help would be very appreciated please.

wget -q medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/medibuntu-key.gpg -O - | sudo
apt-key add -

The above should do the trick.

Nothing happens after that? Is update-manager installed. It should be
available from the system/administration menu.

Answer #6    Answered On: Dec 28

Yes what I posted is what terminal tells me. Update manager is installed but
keeps giving me some wierd key error message and does not give me the option
to upgrade.

Answer #7    Answered On: Dec 28

I find this very odd. My Update Manager just did it all as an auto update
and gave not such message. You do not normally call update from a command
line, it found in Systems Menu as said here.

Answer #8    Answered On: Dec 28

I have an item in update manager I don't want to install. Is there a
way to remove it to prevent being reminded of new updates?
