Server Setup

Could someone point me to a good setup/tutorial/walk through of setting up
some flavor of Ubuntu server? I would like to learn HTML5 and play with
Apache by building web sites for my use.

My personal preference is to begin with Ubuntu Desktop, since performance won't
be an issue on a web site you are just testing. Many things are a lot easier if
you have a local GUI. The only thing it adds is memory usage, so you probably
want more than 512 MB.

this may sound strange to some but to install a web server all I do is
install phpmyadmin. All dependencies are installed and that means a
webserver minus pear. You may also want to look at this resource for
future info beyond this forum. You may try
www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters you may need a Google account
to do any posting don't know have had one for years.
