Re-write fstab file to mount a drive

  Date: Jan 03    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 468

I've built another PC and installed Ubuntu 7.04 this time with no
problems.

The only issues I have are, when I partitioned the Drive I made:-

1, a System drive
2, a Swap drive
3, a Backup drive

I am unable to get into drives 1 + 3 to see what is on them, and I
need to see my Backup drive to save things to it.
Is Filesystem basically C:drive ?

On Xubuntu all partitions were visable both on the Desktop, and in
File System - File Manager.

Can I mount the drives in fstab ? in Ubuntu 7.04

If I can, this is my fstab data:-

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
#
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# /dev/hda1
UUID=f2a23b9e-a5e7-4a43-acfd-b0313245f7e2 / ext3
defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# /dev/hda3
UUID=0886-2428 /dev/hda3 vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46
0 1
# /dev/hda2
UUID=ab31df9d-fc9f-487e-9c89-48d1c778ba16 none swap sw
0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0

Does Ubuntu have the same thing as Disk Management in M$ XP ?
