fstab error

Date: Jan 04    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 313

I noticed upon rebooting on one of many crashes over the past month or
so...that one of the more common ones is something along the lines of 'no
final newline at end of /fstab' though I know /fstab is really 2 parts
/something/fstab. Any idea folks? You seem to know a lot... Glen?
You are pretty helpful as well. Anyone else? :)

Indeed, just after typing this up I had another reboot and it was
/etc/fstab.

SO...what is there to do about the error, "No final newline at end of
/etc/fstab." when I am booting up?

open your /etc/fstab file and make sure there are no empty spaces after
the last character on the last line and/or empty lines.
