Question about Desktop Remix

Date: Nov 30    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 467

I'm using Netbook Remix. I quite like the interface -- large icons,
etc.

I have an OpenOffice database I want to be able to connect to quickly.
I've created a shortcut to the database. The shortcut appears in the
documents directory.

For the life of me, I can't figure a way to copy this shortcut to any of
the menus in Netbook Remix. I can copy the shortcut to the clipboard,
but there isn't an obvious way to paste it to, say, my favorites Tab on
the desktop.

Right Click on the menu button. Choose Edit Menu. Then Got to the correct
place and Choose Add. Then point the new menu loader to your shortcut and
choose an icon.

If you don't like UNE (no longer called UNR) because the icons are large
then you should not use it. Install full GNOME. That's what I use on my
netbook.
