Is there a guide or other such on how to optimize my wireless connection
in hardy?

I ask because when using ndiswrapper, I get much higher throughput on
the LAN via wifi, however since ndiswrapper doesn't work very well on a
wpa network I use other drivers. These drivers I get much lower
throughput on the LAN. It must be settings in ubuntu I figure, but I
have no idea where to look.
