Why would you want to? (lol) You would have to install WINE, which is an
emulator that will allow windows programs to run under linux. Have you search
for an open source version of the windows program you want to run? I'm sure
there is something out there that is compatible with your windows program,
unless it is a game

There is no latest Linux OS. Ubuntu 8.04 is the latest Ubuntu. There are many
other distros. Some are current and some are old, but stable.

None can run Windows programs on their own. Instead you need to run an
application called Wine which gives a small measure of compatibility, but it
does not come with Ubuntu. It must be added separately from the repositories.

Linux Distro called Mint comes with Wine installed. However. Wine does not work
with all the widows apps. You need to see http://frankscorner.org/ to get some
programs to run. And it does take some mojo get going too.
All so VMWARE can run too.
