File Search on Network Share

I'm using a Red Hat based file server (ClarkConnect) that's set up
as an SMB file server. Works great, no issues there with Ubuntu of
any flavor I've used. I can navigate to it by using

[Places ==> Network ==> Windows Network]

and it's right there. Open it up and a folder appears on the desktop
and it shows up as new entry in the [Places] pulldown menu.

Tried to do a file search [Places ==> Search for files...] and I can't
see my network share. I can see all the local mounted (and unmounted,
for that matter) resources in the "Look in folder:" drop down but my
mounted network share doesn't appear, even in the "Other..." choice
where you can browse the system.

How do you do a file search on a network share?
