CLI Book For Beginners??

Date: Dec 11    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 438

I've been using Ubuntu now for 2 years and I'm 'comfortable' with it.

I can handle most problems but, I'm really lacking in knowledge when it
comes to the CLI.

Can any of you recommend a good book on the CLI for beginners/newbies.
Especially as it pertains to Ubuntu/Debian systems.

I'd need title, author, and year published if possible. I'll have to
order it through Amazon.

This is the Linux Phrasebook by Scott Granneman and I highly recommend it.
It is a very helpful 'how-to' when it comes to using the CLI for common
(and some not-so-common) tasks. Tasks such as file moving, file archiving,
setting file permissions, finding files and much much more.

I've been using Linux for quite a while, and I have (as of late) been
carrying it with me. It's lightweight, small, yet jam-packed with useful
information
that makes sense as soon as you read it, whether in front of a *nix box or not.
