Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Feb 15

Several routers show up including the one I have a PW
for but entering the correct PW or the wrong PW, the result is the same, NO
CONNECTION.

Well, there were three problems. Two caused by and should have been caught
by me and one caused by a D-Link DWA-125 incompatible driver.

1) The way I was burning the DVD, actually a CD, and it did fit but the
12.10 64-bit version should have not, however the size of the DL was 728MB.
The correct size, at least for two DLs has been 800.1MB. One on this
desktop computer and another on a netbook. So now I feel I have a good DL
of Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit.

2) The burn to CD, DVD or whatever as actually a copy to that disk, not
burning an ISO to disk. Error two corrected.

3) Now everything seems to work but this. I cannot get the wireless adapter
D-Link DWA-125 ver. A2. to connect to the router. It does just fine using
12.04 64-bit but not 12.10. When I get time I go to fighting/finding the
correct driver and instilling it. I have read where some folks lived for
sometime with what they thought was the correct driver. Then switched to a
different driver and the connection got 5 to 10 times faster.

Is anyone using 12.10 64-bit with a D-Links DWA-125? If so how did you get
it to connect?
