BTW, having both Mint 13 & 14 , both 64 bit ,on my machine ,I am running
Kubuntu desktop on Mint 13 ,which to me is as if I run the full blown
Kubuntu 12.04 with the added advantage that I have the option of running
Mint Cinnamon .
On the same machine I am running Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity) I am also happy with .
Linux means choice .

Tnx for the hint to run Win apps not available for Linux , in a
virtual environment ,having switched-off Internet access.

The Linux desktop has really matured.
It is good to see that OEMs are increasingly offering Linux on their
machines.
Linux is slowly winning .
