Printer problem

Date: Feb 05    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 407

I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 and trying to install an HP Deskjet 1000 j110a, on
my GF's Dell Dimension 7700. I got the correct driver through "Add Printer,"
following all the prompts and then made sure that the printer was selected
by the OS. When trying to print a Test Page, printing fails and the result
shows that it's Processing...... (it stays that way) What did I do wrong,
or left incomplete?

Open up the Ubuntu Software Center and put HP into the search box then
make sure that the HPLIP Toolbox package is installed - if not,
install it and you should find your HP printer works correctly ( and
probably will push out all those 'failed' print jobs ! ).
